Beautiful Gardens of Wanaka has join forces with local Food Tour business Forage & Feast to create new seasonal food and flower tours.
Held in December, February and April to showcase spring, summer and autumn, each tour will visit two Wanaka food producer gardens in the morning and two flower gardens in the afternoon. Each tour includes a three-course lunch made from local produce, including veggies picked that morning by the group.
The perfect day out for any gardener or foodie, these new tours offer a unique behind the scenes look at local growers.
Florence Micoud, owner of Beautiful Gardens Wanaka, says: “Wanaka has a unique growing climate, so we love to hear from our local growers and experts on what grows here, when and how. We’ll also enjoy strolling through local gardens, picking produce and smelling stunning in-season flowers, trees and shrubs”.
Forage & Feast Food Adventures director Naomi Lindsay says the idea came about after the duo attended a regenerative tourism course earlier this year.
“Through the Back to Life Regenerative Tourism course Florence and I connected more on our vision for our local community. We soon realised our values aligned as two passionate locals looking to celebrate all things natural in Wanaka, from food to flowers, with a focus on regenerative practices of growing and tourism”.
“Telling the stories our of our local community is something we are both passionate about and the new tours enable guests to experience the best of both our normal tours in one day”, continues Naomi.

Price: $135 per person
Includes:
- Pick-up and drop-off at a central Wanaka location
- Two visits to a local produce garden and tour
- Three-course lunch including a glass of wine – made from all local produce -including veggies collected in the morning of your tour.
- Two visits to local flora garden and guided tour
