Our Tours options

Our 2024-25 season is well underway with already more than 40 happy guests. Below we detail the gardens visited in our tours, with a bespoke option to mix and match. Our tours depart every day from Wānaka until the end of April 2025.

2-garden guided tour

This tour visits two very different outstanding gardens: 

• An iconic 3/4 acre established garden, with a classic design featured in several media publications 
• An established 1/2 acre urban hidden gem, with theme gardens and homemade art. 

Tour duration 2 to 3 hours, departs morning or afternoon (no refreshment provided).

3-garden guided tour

OPTION A – close to town

• A 3/4 acre semi-urban established and celebrated garden OR a 5-years old 1 acre property developed by the textbook, with lots of colour
• An intensive urban half-acre garden full of homemade art and surprises
• A lifestyle 5 acres establishing arboretum, flower and food gardens in harmony with nature

OPTION B – outlying from town

• An exquisite country garden in a rural valley with stunning mountain views 
• A flower farm where we’ll admire flowers like kids in a lollypop shop
• 5-years old 1 acre exemplary garden landscaped for privacy with trees and colour

Tour duration: 3 to 4 hours. Refreshments are provided. Departs mornings or afternoons,

4-garden guided tour

Choose option A or B above and add:

A native small urban low maintenance garden, with fruit growing trees

OR

A secret established 1/4 acre urban garden, filled with history and an interesting array of plants

Tour duration: 4 to 5 hours. Refreshments are provided. Departs mornings (into early afternoon)

1-garden tour 

This tour visits Namaste Park and Gardens located on the town boundary. This is an educational tour highlighting innovative regenerative practices on a 2.5 hectare lifestyle block, which has been developed over 20 years in harmony with nature. This tour visits a park planted with 400+ trees (natives, conifers, flowering trees…). The gardens support a living lifestyle with orchards, an organic vegetable patch, berries, extensive flower gardens and increasing biodiversity; no fossil fuels nor chemicals are used. 

For guests who have visited this property as part of a guided garden tour and wish to visit it in another season or on a relaxed pace, we offer a “Return to Namaste” guided garden tour with a choice of focus (Trees – Food – Wellbeing) to include a bespoke related activity and visiting areas not explored the first time. 

Tour duration: 2 to 3 hours, operates morning or afternoon. Refreshments are provided in a beautiful setting. Namaste is our property, I know it well and love sharing its bounty!

We offer a children educational tour at this property.

Lifestyle property tour

This tour visits 3 large very different properties at different stages:

• An exemplary rural lifestyle property, with extensive flower borders in a stunning landscape
• 15 acres lifestyle block in construction, with lots going on!
• A suburban 5 acres young arboretum, flower and food gardens in harmony with nature

Tour duration: 4 to 5 hours. Refreshments are provided. Operates mornings (into early afternoon).
