Starting in October, every day, Beautiful Gardens of Wānaka will be offering half-day guided garden tours for small groups throughout the Wānaka region.
Our 9 specially selected gardens have started to bloom. From the 1st October, we will enjoy rhododendrons, cherry blossoms and an abundance of bulbs that never fail to amaze us all. They continue in November, with peonies and dogwoods flowering too, what a show!
Summers provide intense flower palettes in refreshing calm places. Autumns are famous for their festival of colours, so our beautiful experience is sure to delight and deepen any stay in this special climatic zone of New Zealand.
We offer a choice of four tours of differing lengths. Our guests can visit one, two, three or four private gardens; all featuring extensive ornamental borders, an array of flowers, native or exotic trees and seasonal vegetable plots. Every tour visits very different garden styles sure to surprise and inspire. The guide story telling creates an interesting, relaxing and unique experience.
We customise tours for all levels of ability. It is a memorable activity connecting visitors to Wānaka place and people.

- Our pricing schedule now includes discounts when 2 or more participants lodge a reservation making it cheaper to come with family, friends and groups (clubs, end of year team outing)
- We go zero waste! Our refreshment basket now offers a range of ethically sourced loose leaf teas: Earl grey, English breakfast, green Japanese lime (organic), lemon & ginger and our own garden tea (organic). And instant coffee. The muffin paper liners are composted.
- The new 1 Garden tour is an educational tour highlighting innovative regenerative practices on a 2.5 hectare lifestyle block. Learn how to live and garden in harmony with nature, without fossil fuels. Includes a tree connection experience. Take a notebook!
