Did you know Wānaka Library holds a local Seeds Library?
The Seed Library is open to all so come on in and browse our collection of herb, flower and vegetable seeds during regular library hours.
Borrow what you need, grow, collect seeds and then return seeds for others to borrow and to help keep the seed library self-sustaining. If you don’t think you will be able to return seeds from the plants you have borrowed, you are welcome to bring along any other herb, vegetable or flower seeds to donate. Please remember to clearly label your donations with the variety and date of collection.
There is a seed catalogue for you to browse to see what is currently available to borrow and ask that you write your name and what you borrowed in the book. Each seed packet contains a set number of seeds depending on what it is.
Seed swaps and seed saving events are also hosted so follow the library on instagram or facebook so you don’t miss out.
