During tours, we walk through outstanding private properties, while our guide tells the gardeners stories and shares plant knowledge to connect you with the land. This experience offers inspiring ideas for your own patch of paradise.
Progressive discounts apply when multiple persons are booked at the time of booking as follows:

The 4 Gardens tour is our gardeners platinum treat! Visiting a wide variety of garden styles, age and size, our 4 garden tour is an elating experience.
Departs at 9am. Duration approx 4-5 hours.
Pricing $152-$179pp
The 3 Gardens tour is a garden lovers delight! A popular choice offering ample diversity of gardens, running in the morning or the afternoon.
Duration: approx 4 hours.
Pricing $126-$141pp
The 2 Gardens tour is recommended for people of less physical fitness or requiring flatter terrain, while still offering inspiration and interest.
Duration approx 2.5 hours.
Pricing $101-$119pp
This tour operates with a minimum of 2 persons at the time of booking. Refreshments on this short tour are by arrangement.
The 1 Garden tour visits garden B taking our time to explore innovative regenerative practices on a 2.5 hectare lifestyle block. Discover how to create a paradise in a dry and harsh climate, off town water and virtually maintained by one land owner.
The tour includes an optional tree connection experience.
Duration approx 2.5 hours. Pricing $80*-95pp
This tour operates with a minimum of 2 persons at the time of booking.

Our Story
Why do our visitors choose a Guided Garden Tour?
Interesting enough, not just an overseas visitor experience.
Last year, 19% of our guests were locals interested in gardening in our unique climate, learning what grows well here and how to manage water, heat, and frost. Learning from local gardeners is always beneficial.
Overall 48% tour participants were New Zealand visitors; many of them visiting their family here. Our tours are a perfect memorable activity with your manuhiri / visitors. Grandparents sharing with their resident children and mother-daughter outings are a favourite! You would be surprised how many quite elderly couples manage our longer tours. There is also a keen interest from long term farmers enjoying a few days R&R off the farm.
A further 33% of guests are international visitors and they enjoy being welcomed literally into our backyards.
Our bespoke tours offer a wonderful experience with friends and work teams. We had groups of “girls”, end-of-year staff outing, even a baby shower! Memorable times shared with great photos opportunities.
Most of all you need no reason at all. It can just be an enthralling outing to appreciate the beauty and serenity our stalwart gardeners are happy to share. Enjoy!
