Specialty Tours

We organise garden tours on special themes. Experts in the field will explain, demonstrate and answer to your questions.

Cost: $135 per person which includes transport, morning tea and informative narrative by expert in the field and demonstration.

Scheduled tours will run for 2 to 7 participants, rain or shine. No dogs.

Arboretum Tour

In this tour, we visit two outstanding arboretums with Carolyn Schwarz, International Dendrology Society member and passionate local tree advocate.

We get close and personal with conifers and deciduous from all over the world in various stages of their growth. Carolyn shares her extensive knowledge and love for trees, including identification, planting and care tips.

In this tour, we visit several sites with an experienced forager to identify all the edible plants in our gardens.

Beyond well-known edible flowers and common like nasturtium, borage, calendula, violas and roses, we’ll look into “weeds” (like dandelions, chickweed, cress, plantago etc.) and garden centres basics (like fuchsias, juniper whose berries can be eaten) and many more…
